  • This DARK GREY topcoat is mainly used for Fibreglass roof applications as well as for Marine Craft. . It is mixed with the supplied catalyst at 2%. It provides a tough UV protected waterproof layer. The Tocoat is sold on Weight, the container wont be completely full but will have the correct stated weight. Colour code - RAL 7011
  • The Top Coat should be allowed to attain workshop temperature (18ºC-20°C) before use. Stir well by hand, or with a low shear mixer to avoid aeration. It only requires the addition of catalyst to start the curing reaction. Important - This is Not paint but still a resin product - Accurately measured addition of the MEKP hardener is essential. Recommend to WEIGH the topcoat and then multiply the weight by 0.02 to get an accurate calculation for the required MEKP activator.
  • Coverage - A very approximate guide depending on how liberally its applied - Guide 500-600g Per Square M.
  • Working time dependend on ambient temperture, expect approx 10-15 mins at 15 DegC. Hot conditions will REDUCE this time significantly , Full cure in approx 24 hours . Further coats require Sanding to " KEY " the suface .
  • The topcoat has a VERY STRONG SMELL- this is normal for Polyester based products, Use gloves and keep well ventilated.
