FSC Baltic grown softwood timber tree stakes which means they are of superb quality. They are cut from timber grown in a cold climate which means the rings are closer together giving the tree planting stakes more strength than British agricultural grade versions.
High vacuum pressure treated/Tanalised with Wolmanit CX by Sika. The most tested brand in the world. Pressure treated means the treatment has been deeply penetrated into the wood which gives it long lasting protection against fungal decay, insect attack and rotting caused by water. Extending the life of the stakes by up to 15 years plus.
The treatment that is used on the tree stakes is a green in colour but will fade to honey brown and then to a silver grey over time. This does not mean that the timber is not protected. It is the UV light that causes the fading of the timber tree stakes which has no long term effect on the life of them.
