For protection against winter moths, it's recommended to use them during the winter, and between May and August to defend against crawling insects and ants.
Instructions: 1) To use, simply place the bands on the trunks and tree stakes of your fruit trees, around 45-60cm (18-24in) above soil level after removing any loose moss or bark.
Instructions: 2) Cut a piece of band about 3cm longer than the circumference of the tree. Peel the backing paper off and wrap the band around the tree, then use a piece of string to tie the middle of the band. The extra 3cm of glue will hold the band in place.
Instructions: 3) For best results, use the glue bands from October until April to protect against winter moths and between May and August to prevent ant infestations. After 6 months, remove the bands and replace them with new ones.
